I'm sorry, so sorry

I have to apologize to you. Yes, to you my little blog reader!

I have been cheating on you, something else has been stealing me away from talking to you on my blog. That something else is called EVENT SEASON! It's here, in full wonderful, beautiful, detailed, loving effect. Which means, I have been slacking on my blog!!

So, while I am putting together some FABULOUS upcoming posts I wanted to leave you with this, a wedding proposal, yes it's real. I will be the first to admit it is a bit cheesy but entertaining. *smile* Enjoy!

Tuesday Night

I am thankful. So very thankful.

It's not the first time she had called me because she needed help with her car, she could call me a hundred times and I would still never care. Her voice, it was shaky but calm sounding, almost eerie, but she was there, on the other end Ashley.....I was in a bad car accident.....can you and Brad come?

My heart started to beat faster.....

Where are you?

Are you okay?

What happened?

How bad?

Are you hurt?

....I'm so sorry....we are on our way.

Out the door, in the car, stopped at a red light that seemed like 30 mins long, and onto the freeway.

We exited the freeway, pulled onto the road....oh no, police.....everywhere......red flares....fire trucks......where is she?

I jumped out of the car first, in a panic, there she was, my beautiful baby sister, standing on the opposite corner. We waited for the light to turn red, the white "walk" symbol to light up and ran across the street. You couldn't miss it, in the middle of the intersection surrounded by glass but I saw it, what had been her car. It was totaled, she was t-boned by a SUV that had ran a red light. Parts of her car scattered everywhere, airbags blown, the car was completely smashed. I looked at her again as she stood, holding her left arm, bruising across her chest and face, but there she stood.

A foot to the left and she could have been gone. Gone.

After the police report, after the car was towed, we walked back to our car and sat. Thank you god, thank you god, thank you so much. I couldn't stop hugging her, just telling her that I was sorry and I loved her.

After a trip to the ER the night {or early morning} ended with Hannah on my couch, eating ice cream, with ice covering her back, neck, chest and arms.

We are grateful to God, so very grateful.

Because you never know what tomorrow might hold, we should always act upon love, grace and forgiveness. These values don't have to come only on the mornings when you wake up on the right side of the bed. They should come all the time.

Life is short. Give the people you love a big hug and tell them you love them because you never know what tomorrow holds.

Thank you for reading my blog, being a part of what I do! I LOVE my readers!!!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Mullins

When I first met Ashley, it was at Paradise Bakery. We met for a short lunch just to get to know each other. We clicked. She was the easiest bride to work with. Her smile lights up a room, her sweet nature and heart make you want to be her friend.....lucky for me, we are now friends, great friends. *smile*

Ashley & Steve blessed my life the day they decided to hire me as their wedding planner. Their relationship is something right out of a fairy tale, not to mention they look like Barbie and Ken! The story of how they met, fell in love and four years later got engaged is that of faith, hope and commitment. When you meet amazing people, like Steve and Ashley, you know you HAVE to have them in your life, because they add something that no one has or can.

Serendipity Videography was there to capture their beautiful Firesky Resort wedding. I have to admit, when I watched the video, I cried. All of the day's beautiful memories came rushing back to me. Ashley envisioned a beautiful antique chic day and that is exactly what she created.

I hope you enjoy their wedding day video as much as I did.

Ashley & Steve~ Brad and I can't say enough about how much we love you two. We are truly blessed to call you our friends. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. I will remember it forever.

Feliz CumpleaƱos Mexico

Mexico turns 200 today! In honor we would like to take a minute to thank them for all of the inspiration and influence they have given to us here in the states.

From celebrating Cinco de Mayo {A holiday which most Americans don't truly know the meaning of, we just like to CELEBRATE!}, to chips and salsa, tacos, burritos, pinatas, college spring breaks, Salma Hayek, Tequila, Cabo weddings, bright vibrant colors, The Day of The Dead, and of course margaritas!!!

I just couldn't help myself but to create a little wedding inspiration board in honor of our neighbors! :) Backless dresses to wear on the beach, a custom tequila bar, and of course the COLORS!

Memories on Display

"I want you to know, the majority of those boxes are yours." My husband pointed to the left side of the garage. We had been married 3 weeks and were settling into our new home.

"I know! I am so proud of myself for condensing 10 into 4!" I smiled, I was proud. Those boxes were filled with memories from my childhood, memories that I couldn't bring myself to part with.

My husband laughed.....a laugh that was more sarcastic than anything. For a split second I almost pitied him...he went from being a bachelor with a house to himself, to now having a garage filled with his wife's boxes, sleeping under a chandelier, having a room in his house that was entirely pink and a dog named Cupcake.

Adjustment is just part of marriage, but it is so worth it.

One of the boxes held letters and cards, probably have over 200 that had been given to me over the years. I just couldn't let the words of loved ones make their way to the trash, they meant too much. Time may pass, but written notes can hold memories forever.

Enjoying the cards and notes given to me by my husband, clients, friends and family is important, SO......I decided to make a decorative board for my office. A piece that would allow me to display the current cards until new ones come. *wishful thinking*

I made my way over to J&K Furniture on Bell Rd. I wanted a ornate frame for the board that had a lot of character to make into a display for my office.

In a dusty corner of the store I found an old mirror with an amazing frame. I bought it for $26 took it home and sprayed it black. After a trip to Hobby Lobby and a few other stores, I had the materials to make my board complete.

The men at Home Depot were nice enough to cut a board down to perfect size. I covered it with blanket stuffing and pink felt.
A perfect shade of pink silk fabric was adhered next. It fit my office decor to a "T".
{My little munchkin Cupcake posed for this one} Ornate black trim to create space for the "love" notes to stay firmly on.
Vintage buttons added for a little sparkly detail.
My husband hung it and I filled it with love, baby announcements, wedding invitations of clients, and just notes to say hello. From a blank wall to a wall that reminds me of how blessed life is. It's now the most priceless item in the room.

White, Chic, Stunning

It only makes sense, everything they sell is either white or black, so wedding dresses seem like the perfect fit: White House Black Market has launched a new wedding line.

The dresses are affordable and take on high end designs, to make the bride who wears it feel oh-so-pretty.

THE KATHARINE BRIDAL GOWN
$348.00
THE VICTORIA BRIDAL GOWN
$598.00
THE AUDREY BRIDAL GOWN
$698.00
THE GRACE BRIDAL GOWN
$498.00

White House Black Market has hundreds of dresses that would be fit for any bridesmaid but I decided to pull a few of my favorites.
RUBY SATIN ROSETTE DRESS
$178.00

Rosettes are extremely popular this season.
Their elegance adds value to the dress making it look like a $300 dress instead of a $178.
GREY TWO-TONE SATIN DRESS
$178.00

A new spin on the little black bridesmaid dress adding making it a two tone. The grey on black is stunning and chic. The length works for cool or warm weather, just add a wrap or an open toed shoe depending on where you are!

STRAPLESS RUCHED SATIN-ROSE DRESS
$178.00
The perfectly sewn roses on the fabric of the dress remind me of the Sunday Rose dress by Monique Lhuillier and the Wallis Dress by Melissa Sweet.
Needless to say, WHBM took on the runway designer look!
