Sex & The City I Do's

I'm looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love.
~ Carrie Bradshaw

February 22, 2004 marks a very sad day in my life. I remember sitting with my two college roommates in the living room of our apartment watch the Finale of Sex & The City. Crying, no scratch that, we were bawling. Carrie & Big together at last. Little did we know all those years ago that we were going to get to see exactly how that would end! Or so we thought.

In honor of Sex & The City 2, which I am SO excited to see tonight, I decided to take you down memory lane to the weddings of Charlotte, Miranda, and of course Carrie.

Charlotte ~ Weds her first love, Trey. She wore a stunning strapless Vera Wang Gown.

Later in Season 5 Charlotte married the TRUE love of her life, Harry. :) And got to wear a 2nd amazing wedding gown designed by Badgley Mischka.

Miranda ~ Marries Steve in the quaint and beautiful Jefferson Market Garden using fall colored leaves as her bouquet.

May 30, 2008 ~ Finally, the day every girl and her college roommates waited for, Sex & The City The Movie. We dressed up, went to dinner bought our tickets and sat in the theater for what we knew would be life-changing.
Carrie ~ One her 1st wedding day Carrie wore a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and each bridesmaid wore a different design by Zac Posen.
During Carrie's 2nd attempt and success at marrying Big, she wore a lovely No Name Vinage Suit. :)
Wedding Day Side Note: When Actress Sarah Jessica Parker married her husband Matthew Broderick in 1997 she wore a black dress. However, she wishes she hadn't and when asked by Bazaar Magazine what she would wear if they ever renewed their vows, she replied. "White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day."

“Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.” ~ Carrie
